Maglor was the second son of Fëanor and Nerdanel, and took more after his mother than any of the other six. Bound by the Oath of Fëanor, and leaving behind his burgeoning stardom on Aman, he followed his brothers to Middle-Earth in the quest for the Silmarils. There, he did a spectacular job of holding the Gap until all Angband really broke loose. He survived the War of Wrath long enough to, against his better judgement, retrieve the last two Silmarils with his oldest (and best) brother, leaving him alone with regret for a life lived for the wrong reasons.
This time around, Maglor wonders if it's possible to be loyal to your family, yourself, and do the right thing. He might just have to make himself the priority for a change. |
